How I would help
At the heart of my practise is the relationship between myself and you, my client, which should feel safe, warm and non-judgemental. I am a humanistic, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist which means that I do not follow one model of therapy, but instead use whatever approaches would be useful for my client.
I offer an initial session to establish whether we feel we could work together. We would explore what brought you to counselling at this point in your life, and what approach would be most beneficial.
We would have a confidential conversation, either in my home consulting room or by phone (sometimes I visit people in their own homes, or at a separate location).
A session lasts for around 50 minutes, and I normally suggest 6 weekly sessions which is a reasonable amount of time to do some work together.
